History:
This is a cigar that is bathed in history and the story of the life of the Torano cigar is a thing of beauty! It all started with Don Santiago Torano, who moved from Spain to Cuba. He had three sons, Jaime, Jose, and Carlos. By ’59, The Torano family had 17 tobacco farms throughout Cuba. After the Cuban government nationalized the tobacco farms, Don Santiago Torano left and headed to Dominican Republic, where he introduced the Cuban seed to the farmers in the Dominican Republic. Don Santiago suddenly passed away, and that left the business to his son and grandson, Carlos and Charlie, the third and fourth generation of the Torano family. Now, it’s Carlos and Charlie who are involved in the cigar industry, and have introduced the Exodus ’59 representing the year their family headed to the Dominican Republic. The company today thrives because of the work of Carlos and Charlie. This is truly an amazing company. These guys know tobacco, and they are doing a phenomenal job.

Upon Lighting the stick:
This is a beauty to behold! It’s oily but not veiny. It’s smooth, soft, and light in the hand. I punched this stick as I do most of my cigars. I use a medium size punch. Immediately this cigar has a perfect draw. It has ceded tones prelit.

1st Third:
The blend offers a unique and flavorful profile which provides sweet, creamy notes that dominate the palate with subtle hints of spice, dark chocolate, and raisin. I love it! And as soon as you light it up, it explodes with that dark chocolate! The 1st third doesn’t waste any time getting you to those beautiful flavors I’m becoming obsessed with!

Conclusion:
This is now and has almost been ever since, a daily smoke for me. I love this stick!
Have i mentioned that?!?! It’s great! The result of the combinations in this cigar is a unique and luxurious flavor profile which is intense and rich, yet rounded and balanced. I love the chocolaty flavors on the palate after this smoke. I love the dark Brazillian cocoey type taste from this wrapper! It’s honestly a cigar flavor that I wake up thinking about first thing in the morning, and long for throughout the day. Pick up one of these if you haven’t already. You will not be disappointed! Now I’ll smoke another!
